With a few exceptions from freshman Tyler Brown, they generally did not make electric game-changing plays. That was a major reason for the overall offensive malaise that doomed Clemson to an 8-4 regular season, their worst since 2010. One of the injuries that really took a toll on the Tigers was losing Antonio Williams for most of the season. Ankle and toe issues limited him to only five games. He finishes the season with only 224 receiving yards and 2 TDs. The year prior, as a true freshman, he had 612 yards and 4 TDs.
